Ok, so the shaft is out of the hub... A lot of heat and air hammer got it out...whoop whoop The bush removed started to get both tedious and dangerous (got melted rubber on my arm and its burned and blistered) so picked up a one ton press from machine mart. Bushes still need to be heated but come out much quicker and safer with this Vs a hammer...

Cam belt and main crank oil seal are in, the rocker, block and sump have been cleaned and given a coat of Matt black VHT... It's not as posh as some engines iv seen on here, but it's clean and I'm happy with it :-) The rocker cover bots have been swapped for anodised titanium... Because why not!

So, it's been a long time since iv updated my thread... Problems at work and a run in with pneumonia has kept me out of the garage. However I picked up the front subframe and arms from the shot blasters on Friday so put in some painting time. The subframe needed some welding to patch a couple of tiny holes where the metal had gone thin, and there are parts that are a bit pitted but solid enough. Overall it will do the job until I attempted a tube sub frame build. The frame is under coated in black 2k acid etch, then the underside has a coat of underseal, then a coat of black plasti coat.
