Info on UK turbo'd cars

Hi guys,

I'm after some info on adding a turbo to my 97 uk spec 1.6.

1st... Has anyone turbo'd there car before IVA test? Has this caused problems with emissions etc?

2nd... I'm having problems finding a well priced ECU option... Flyin miata do a piggyback called a voodoo for $420 which seems ok. Could the people with turbo Exocets shed some light on what they have done and if it's working well for them.

megasquirt is the cheapest full stand alone ECU. $659 US for the newest version ms3x, older versions can be cheaper. Depending on how much control you want, you could even get away with a microsquirt for $340.

The ecu is always going to be the most costly part of a turbo conversion so I guess £575 isn't shocking
