I am getting ready to order the last few parts for completing the steering rack and column rebuild. Are the R version tie rod ends needed or worth the price compared to stock NB tie rod ends? www.flyinmiata.com/r-package-tie-rod-ends.htmlI plan to use stock replacement inner tie rods. Also does anyone know of a source for new universal joint that connects the column to the rack. This is the lowest joint on the column or the first joint between the column and rack. Mine is fairly beat up and I would like to keep safety issues to a minimum if the joint is available. No luck on Rock Auto and a Mazda dealer site. Lastly is there any poly urethane bushing/mounts for the NB steering rack?

V8R makes billet rack bushings for $50. Best choice really.

Sorry, no idea about the R tie rods. I just received new Moog outers for my '92 rack. They were cheaper than OEM replacement but have OEM fit as far as I understand.

Awesome thanks guys. Any idea on the R version outer tie rod ends? The R package rods are angled slightly different to work better with a lowered suspension, and reduce bump steer. They're a good choice.
