Power goals for your setup? No specific goal, just going to build it and see what I end up with. With this turbo though I should easily be around 300hp.

5 or 6 speed transmission? And are you worried about the trans at higher power levels? Just seems like it is the weak link with little to be done short of replacing the gearset.

5spd. This is going to be a street car only, so the transmission should hold up fine. If it goes I'll look into other options like using a 6spd instead.

What rods/pistons are you running? I know you said it was a built motor.
The trans may survive for a little while, but a 5 speed at those power levels won't survive long. The 6 speed will hold it better, but I much prefer the feel of the 5 speed to the 6 speed. If I were you, I would back the power goals down to 225WHP and the car will still be silly fast. I have years of experience with turbocharging these cars and I wish I had listened to the people who told me that a long time ago.

i've read the same about the 5spd feeling better than the 6. 300 isn't a goal, just a number i know the turbo will flow easily. Most likely i will tune in the 225-250 range.
I haven't fully committed on the engine build yet, still deciding on what pistons/rods to run. will be using the donor's engine at first (minimal boost) to get a baseline tune for breaking in the built engine.

Back on four wheels, mostly tending to general maintenance stuff. Decided to go with an FM 36-2 wheel instead of the protege 36-1 so i can upgrade to an ATI damper easier in the future. Also spoke with Kevin on monday to make some changes to the order, and he said they've covered a lot of ground with the builds since a few went without powder coat. Now instead of end of March he says more like middle of February everything should be ready to pick up. I have a line on a set of BC coilovers with custom valving for the spring rates I choose. Not sure if I want to go with those or the tried and true Vmaxx setup from FM.

Looking good, can't wait to see this put together. Is the manifold the same as most cast manifolds when it comes to sizes? Meaning the distance from the block to the turbo flange?

That's just a picture I took from Artech's website so steadfast could see how it sits. I'll be using an EFR turbo

Waiting on some stuff to get back from powder coating, and should be hearing from Exomotive any day now to discuss picking up the frame. It was next in line for powder about a week ago. In the mean time, this came Friday
