Did you cover side repeaters in that list? Also I would advise a third brake light... No I didn't Mawdo81, but the "MEV Kit" also doesn't come with side repeaters which I wasn't aware so I threw the MX5 ones away!
Will look into to

I went to meet Stuart at the MEV HQ which was well worth it! Deposit has been made and I now have the tough decision of deciding on the colour scheme! Bring on the summer

I picked up the kit Yesterday and after a long 2 hour drive down the motorway with the chassis hanging out the back of my van we made it home!
As I'm sure everyone does I couldn't wait to get the chassis resting on the MX5, so it came out the van and straight onto the car.
Pictures to follow...

Ok, I have come across hurdle straight away The chassis will not fit onto the frame as the exhaust is in the way. As you can see from the picture the chassis is sitting on the edge of the exhaust and one of the exhaust mounting brackets. Even if i cut of the bracket (which i dont want to do, the chassis tunnel still will not fit around the rear back box with enough clearance, if at all? Any ideas?
The next is hopefully not an issue, from looking at it now, i can see that I will only be able to connect the chassis to the sub frame using a total of 8 bolts which is 2 bolts on each side of the sub frames, seen here:
Anyway, getting on with fitting the ally floors

I had to loose the mid section silencer on mine for the same reason, in the end i went straight to the rear box using a section of pipe. As for the bolt holes, all mine lined up in the end with a bit of jiggling around.

White frame is cool...what colour are you going with for the panels?

Yep, all the holes lined up in the end As for the rear silencer, well, I just cut the lot off from the cat back, job done! My next issue is that I cant get the front springs to sit properly without catching on the wishbones, they are standard srpings. Im presuming its a case of wiggling, pulling and pushing but ive been doing this for an hour now with out any luck. This is the problem:
You can see that the chassis needs to come down another inch to fit in place but the shock is catching on the wishbone? Little tip for anyone about to pop rivet the floor with a handheld manual gun....DONT! Bloody hard work lol i found putting a piece of 3x2 and leveraging your whole body is a lot easier than trying to squeeze them, just wished id figured this out sooner Going for black panels

Going to try and get the bolts in and tighten it all up, maybe by pulling the chassis down to the sub frame it will line up better? Any thoughts?

We loaned it to another exocet builder with a small compressor he did his floors in no time Don't you have to cut the wishbones and put in a curved bone that should have been supplied with the kit
