How original is that one of Stuarts? It does not have the braces he suggested it should have. Was that taken at RTR? Yes the pic's were taken at RTR and as for being original, its as original as they get. Its a butchered tR1ke chassis and you can see were the chassis was cut near the bends and the straight section added to convert to 4 wheels.

Yes paul, I have these pic's, they're a bit clearer. You can see the cut where the tR1ke chassis was modified to do the conversion.

These are the pictures taken by Paul on Friday, his boots in the shot, he sent them to me asking what they had supposedly taken out. That's right Stuart, they sent the same pics to me after I rang them wanting to know why there was no bracing on my chassis. Do you really think the extra bracing would help torsionally as you originally suggested. I'm not really concerned about adding them if it's only to give a little extra strength if shunted from the rear. The problem would be getting the motor in and out if the bracing was welded in.

With the engine mounts in place there's no way you dropped the engine in from the top, maybe you dropped it in to position from the top before making the engine mounts. As I said before, the motor can only be removed from underneath or forward with a struggle.
I did consider bracing from the outside i.e. The inside of the bend but didn't want to spoil the lines, I assume that is why you didn't design the chassis rails with less of a bend, if you had, there may not have been any issue or suggested issue.
