Hi all,
I'm looking for options for raising the rear ride height of my tr1ke.
For those frequent users of the forum, I bought nick's (venom project) tr1ke last year and would like to raise the back a couple of inches to stop it grounding on uneven roads.
Have spoke to nick about changing the suspension dog bone but apparently that doesn't work very well.
Has any tr1ke owners changed the setup. Looking for options that are not going to cost the earth.
Thanks

One way some have used was to change the rear spring for a progressive spring on the shock. And some have also added a bracket in order to use the oem shock mount, you can see a photo of this setup at the link below its on seabee70 tR1ke. tR1ke build in TN. Page 4 & 5

That looks spot on, got to be worth trying, I fitted the 5JJ shocker, but it didn't make any difference to ride height over the original 4XV.
Hope it does the job, if it does or doesn't, post your findings.

Hi Guys,
I'm wanting to raise the rear end of my tR1ke. To try to reduce the amount of times it drags it's belly on speed humps etc
Does anyone know what the rear ride height is with the standard Yamaha (triangular) shock linkages fitted?
My tR1ke is using a 5VY R1 bike (2004-2006 FI model) It currently has a Lust Racing suspension linkage fitted. Lust Racing sell 3 different linkages. 2 lower the ride height & one raises it.
Obviously I need to know which one is fitted before I know how to go about raising the rear end? So finding out what the standard ride height is. Seems like a good starting point?
I would have started a fresh thread but I coudn't see an option to do so? Where in the tR1ke section should I be looking?
Many thanks in advance.
