An excellent showing for the Exocets at the Traqmate Ultimate Skidpad Challenge yesterday at Road Atlanta during the 2015 Mitty. I drove XP-4, our Exocet Race car, wearing a two year old set of 205/50-15 Nitto Tire NT-01s and tied for first place in the Unlimited class against the new owner of a CTS-V powered Exocet Sport wearing 235/50-15 Toyo R888s at 1.449g. Warren took first place in the Ultimate Street Special class driving XP-5, our Exocet Sport V8, on 205/50-15 BFG Rivals at 1.375g. First Place - Ultimate Street Special Class - 1.375g Exomotive Exocet Sport V8 "XP-5" - 525hp LS376/525 w/ T56 Transmission and CTS-V Differential - 205/50-15 BFG Rivals Tie for First Place - Unlimited Class - 1.449g Exomotive Exocet Sport V8 "XXXocet" - 556hp LSA w/T56 Magnum Transmission and CTS-V Differential - 235/50-15 Toyo R888s Tie for First Place - Unlimited Class - 1.449g Exomotive Exocet Race Turbo "XP-4" - 305hp FMII Turbo - '99 Miata Donor w/Torsen Differential - 205/50-15 Nitto Tire NT-01s

Kevin, Congratulations!! Great showing! Can you tell us more about the set up of the cars? VMAx on all? What spring rates? Sway bars? Etc.......and my real question ....why didn't you put at least one of these three on slicks? Would have been nice to see one of them beat the FFR 818 ...but without equivalent tires no chance. Thanks
Matt

eastbaymatt we'll definitely be bringing a fresh set of A7 Hoosiers out there next year! Honestly, we didn't even check the tire pressures for these runs. After displaying the cars all weekend at the event, we were just ready to have some fun. I have little doubt that with minor preparation and some fresh A7s we would be the fastest thing on the board. XP-4 AFCOs 350F/250R FM Front Sway / No rear sway XP-5 Apex'i N1 coilovers 450F/350R FM V8 Front Sway / No rear sway XXXocet From Keith: "The supercharged V8 XXXocet was on AFCOs with a 550 front and a (mumble mumble) rear spring. I wish I could remember the rear, I think it's 400 or so. The ride quality is actually really, really plush, partly due to a fairly soft rebound setting and the chassis rigidity. FM V8 front sway bar, no rear bar. It was on 235/50-15 R888s that were probably running about 27 psi at Atlanta altitude - we hadn't checked then since the car came off the trailer from Colorado. If it sounds like the owner just jumped in the car and took off to give it a try, you're right "

Great meeting you too Bob! Yes, Mason was fantastic. Lots of talent there. I'll have to cough up for some new A7s next time, but I still think he may have us!
