We are not able to Depower the steering racks in nz, they have to be done by an approved repairer and need to be certified as part of getting the car certified and registered, but thank for the feedback, much apprdcisted

That's a pain I used the miatabusa thread to depowering mine. Do you know if the repairer will weld up the splines when they do it? If it's okay with motor reg authorities I would heartily suggest it

Cut the old belt in half lengthwise (razor and turn the engine. Slip the new belt halfway on the sprockets, then cut the old belt all the way off. Done, and done. Genius!!!!

Chassis primed with epoxy primer, spray painted with a compressor and spray gun, happy with my first attempt

Fire wall and transmission cover installed much easier than i thought, have wrapped in carbon fibre wrap Pedals also installed just waiting, for new pedals covers to arrive
