Never mind, you have more than enough power to make up for the extra weight.
Just for reference, as far as i can tell (i have done my own corner weights so it not as precise as yours) my 1.6 focus weighs 510kg. I don't have aluminium uprights (mine are steel and very heavy), i don't have a light weight battery. I have also changed my floor covering over the summer to something lighter since i last weighed it.
Cheers

Thats intersting to know Matt. I also have teh heavy front uprights but do have a lightweight battery. Not sure if the Throttle bodies work out heavier or not. Think i am going to change the seats though for GPR!

i Think 582 is a good weight for a rocket with comfy seats and iron engine. im sure you could get it under 550 with some lighter seats and wheels...
Just as a comparison D'ocket weighs about 650kg's. with a chunky battery and very heavy wheels.

Interesting. Need to weigh mine but I'm guessing its also 550Kg+. Heavy uprights, heavy battery. Not sure what the weight on the MAC is as mine says 484Kg ; wishful thinking but more than likely a typo? I would think that throttle bodies work out at a simlar weight to the standard inlet.

I'm hoping to get mine under 500KG's. I'm starting to think that might not be practically possible. ST170, ally uprights, lightweight battery, GRP seats, Rota Subzero wheels. How much fuel did you have in it when it was weighed? ( clutching at straws now :

Under 500kg with the St170 steel lump in it is prob impossible. Matt's car with 1.6l alloy block is still over 500kg. :-(

When I ran my Sonic sans bodywork and lights at the AMM day, it wascoming in at 465 kg. I've alloy uprights and light wheels. Am adding body work at present sointeresting to see what it comes in at. Am expecting it to be not verymuch over the 520 mark. Have the ST170 and 6 speed box.
The rear upright is darn heavy. If there was a way of making that out of lighter material you could defn save kg's
