VIN application update: received my first rejection letter. Apparently, by using the application form that was in the application packet that the DMV gave me, I used an old application form, which, again, was the one THEY gave me. So, they sent me the updated form. It's the exact same form, just formatted differently... Filling it out and resubmitting it today.

That stinks. Hopefully they get you through soon. Which form was the outdated form? Just want to make sure I download the right one.

DR 2408. Make sure it's the one dated 6/26/15 in the upper left corner.

Stuart, I'm in Denver and would really like to come up and see your Exocet. I'm a new member, so I couldn't shoot you a PM. Let me know. Your build looks off the freakin charts!

Quick update: got the call today from CSP that they have my state assigned VIN number!!! I'm going to go get it attached tomorrow morning, then work on insurance and DMV for plates. Hope to have it on the street by this weekend!

VIN attachment took all of five minutes. Super easy.
Not so easy, my insurance couldn't cover the Exocet. Said it was "too new." So, based on others feedback on here, I called Rally Wednesday and again on Thursday. I know I was asking a lot to try to get insurance at the end of a week right before a long holiday weekend, but never heard anything more from them except my application was forwarded to whoever it's supposed to go to. Bummed because I wanted to drive the car on the 4th. I'm positive whoever approves the applications started their weekend early. I'm guessing I'll hear back Tuesday morning...

Thanks to Rally Insurance, by way of American Modern Insurance, I'm now insured here in Colorado. Took longer than I had hoped, but everything looks good. Tomorrow I'll see how much I can confuse the DMV.

After about 75 minutes at the DMV today, the Exocet has plates! It took a supervisor, a call to the state, a return call from the state, and some of my own documentation on how to register a kit car in Colorado, but she has plates! The whole process, from date of inspection to getting plates today, was almost exactly two months to the date. Already put like 35 miles on her today.
