Did the DMV give you a whole packet of forms to submit? I got the packet from them when I got the donor titled to me last year and already had them filled out and ready to go. Thanks for the heads up on the outdated form because I had to get a new one. Luckily they are all available online for download. I even filled out forms that I didn't even need but for once, the DMV clerk was really helpful and thorough even got the manager to double check everything. They sent my packet to Denver so hopefully it goes well. How's yours going? Any news since you resubmitted? |

At least your DMV location sounds like they have done this before. Wish someone would update that form in the packets. No news yet. Not really expecting to hear anything for another week or two though.
Let me know if they say anything about you needing arm restraints at the autocross this weekend. If I knew you were going, I'd have tried to make it too!

Good point. I'll bring my arm restraints just in case. I'll let you know if they require it or not. Was hoping you were going but oh well maybe next time. I'm the only car in DM this weekend.

Got the call I've been waiting for from the State Patrol. Turns out they've had my paper work for a couple weeks and never called me. But Tomorrow is the day I get my VIN assigned and can get plates!!!! IT'S HAPPENING!!!!!!

Finally jumped through all the hoops for Colorado and now I have plates!!!!! Been on a couple short drives today and I love it!!! So much better to have this process complete. Took longer then I wanted but everything is done and I can finally get out and drive!!! Planning a trip to South Dakota in September which will be awesome.

I also immediately took the full windshield off and fabbed up a new half windshield. Because a full windshield is for sissies!!

300 mile update. That's right 300 miles so far in the Exocet and what fun it's been. Went to Cars and Coffee this morning and was about an hour each way. Enjoyed the cool morning ride. Everything is holding up well and no real issues. I finally got the wheels re-balanced and new exhaust will be done on tuesday next week.  |
