I believe no spacers, possibly small rear ones. Not sure on the BBK, I don't expect they'd hit with the spoke geometry. I'm not planning on brake upgrades for now so I won't find out, at least for the time being . FWIW the Grid V Max is a different shape than the Grid V, kind of a combo between the Grid Concave and the Grid V. They don't make a ton of them, but I was able to source them through 18racing.com. Wheeldude.com can get them too but I didn't really care for their customer service. Semi-up to date inventory can be found through this link, all of the resellers just drop ship: www.rotawheel.com/AVAILABILITY.htm . They update it about once a month, so the further it is from the date up top, the less likely it's accurate.

Question for those that have done work on the roller-skate while it was naked. I've got a clutch and flywheel to install, my plan is to leave the trans attached to the PPF, undo the bolts holding the trans to the engine, and wheel the trans/ppf back a bit to do the install.
Stabilizing the engine/front subframe is my anxiety point. I'm planning on chocking both front wheels front and back, using something rigid to stabilize the whole assembly vertically from the front, and using a floor jack on the back to aid in reassembly. Any opinions or insights on this? I'd use a hoist if I had one, but alas, I do not.

That is exactly what I did. I strapped the tranny to a jack, and stabilized the engine with the engine hoist: Edit: just saw that you don't have a hoist. You could likely stablize it to a ceiling joist with a come-along if you have that accessible.

No exposed joists in the garage, however I have a multitude of straps and a ladder that should be able to function as a scaffold base. I'm sure I can make something work.

Rotas arrived today. They look great, good finish, no flaws. Right at 16 lbs on the scale, not super light but not bad. Hoosiers will be mounted on them fairly soon. At some point those will actually go on the car too .

Did motor mounts tonight. Aside from being dirty (still need to clean everything) it went flawlessly. Probably 30 minutes start to finish, 2 nuts and 3 bolts on the driver side, 2 nuts and 4 bolts on the passenger side. All 14mm heads, easy peasy. If you're thinking of doing them, it doesn't get easier than this. The comp ones (silver stripe) are $80 and change from Mazda provided you have the discount, worth every penny. My passenger mount wasn't too bad, driver mount was thoroughly torn and on its way out. Also, for those shopping for Dominator 2.0 headlights, I posted this up on Facebook; they're also known as Bikemaster Piercing Beams and can be had fairly cheap. $125 on Amazon: www.amazon.com/BikeMaster-Piercing-Beam-Headlights-Beams/dp/B009WETXEO/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_4

I emailed Fly'N'Cycle to see if they'd price match, that's who I got mine through. I hate not getting the best deal.

Shell is finally gone. Went with a buy parts, get shell free strategy. Worked well.

Finished the clutch tonight, ended up using a jack under the trans and a jack under the front subframe, both strapped to their respective components like Steadfast. There was a bit of oil in the bell housing but it looked to have come from the CAS and/or the valve cover gasket as both the rear main and trans seals looked clean and dry. I cleaned everything up, install went smooth enough. Looks like the slave cylinder needs replaced, I was going to do a stainless line anyway so adding that is no biggie.
Waiting patiently for the chassis. My second of wheels is due in early May, at this point I'm not sure which will arrive first. I'll be cleaning the roller up before then but I don't know that I'll do much else, not going crazy with paint or powdercoating as some folks have done (everything is rust free) and I'm going to do the remaining upgrades (torsen and bushings) when it's together, seems easier in my mind. Hoping to have it done by 8/1 for a local car show, we'll see.

Bill is paid, waiting patiently. Did the shifter turret boot, CAS o-ring, and all of the coolant hoses last night. Tonight I'm planning on reinstalling the exhaust manifold and hopefully getting the roller degreased and cleaned up. I should probably choose a paint color as well...

And the street wheel order has been canceled. Stupid XXR, shouldn't be surprised I suppose. Back in the hunt for a decent set of wheels. Or at this point, maybe spacers.
