Just wondering whether anyone can suggest a suitable type of rear spoiler to easily fit onto an Exocet please? Ive seen these fitted before onto the downward-angled part of the frame behind the seats but am searching in vein who would supply these at a decent price. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated...

thanks for the advice.. well ive located a spoiler that should be good.. its coming from hong kong so im not holding my breath but surely worth it to save around £30 on UK price? i think it should bolt easily onto the back panel with some reinforcements underneath around the nuts. Incidentally i rang my insurance company (AF) who are happy for me to fit this without it affecting my premium. i suppose they think if youre mad enough to run a vehicle like this then it kind of goes with the territory! enjoying my new ownership very much even though weather has been lousy. looking forward to spring!

thats the type of thing yep. ive not ordered it yet as a little edgy about hong kong and poss import fees etc. maybe ill just pay the price and order one from these shores. ill post some pics up when its fitted. the exocet i have is from jpsjay (his build history is on here) which so far has been great. thoroughly nice bloke and very genuine car. not the fastest if im honest but i kind of knew that with a 1.6 in it, but if i was that bothered id have bought something else quicker for the same money.. only minor issue i have is when polished the black has circular buffing smears all over. not sure whether it was like that or whether i have caused it by polishing with wrong thing? i may need to take it in somewhere.. ill check the threads on here see if anyone can suggest anything. black seems a particularly unforgiving colour.

Here's a COT wing on an ebay buy-it-now for $189. The wing looks like it has the real six screw mounts, but it also looks like they've been moved, so make sure it's a real wing and not a "show" wing before you buy. Buyer beware... www.ebay.com/itm/151585047830?item=151585047830

It also has the high speed oval end plates. I do not think that is would be a good choice to actually put on any car, exocet or otherwise.

The listing pretty clearly states that it is a show car wing and it looks to have been modified on top of that. It does and it was, but I'm not sure they have it right. I thought that the six bolt mounted wings were race wings. Here's mine: The mount is pretty similar. It also looks pretty much the same as this wing on TrackHQ, which also claims to be a race wing: www.trackhq.com/forums/f310/nascar-cot-wing-flat-endplates-wa-7669/ However the wing currently on ebay doesn't have the tethers. I'm not taking a position on it either way, which is why I marked my post Buyer Beware. George, can you positively ID this as a Show Car Wing? Jim
