Nice to have seen the car in person. You are really making progress. Robert

That rivet gun will come in handy! I already had the rivet gun. I use it for assembling the kinetic wind sculptures I make. It is worth every penny if you ar dining more than about 3 rivets. This is the one I have.Air riveter would have been nice. Did mine the old fashioned way with a hand popper.

Yesterday afternoon marked another major milestone. The frame is now on the roller skate. Montgom (Bob) came by at exactly the right time yesterday to help me land the frame. It took two tries to get it on there because the rear subframe brace hits on the chassis. After some finagling we got the rear subframe brace removed, the wood supports arranged ,and the chassis dropped right on. I guess my options at this point are to cut the front legs off the stock brace or find an aftermarket replacement. The front bolts went in fairly easily with the help of a drift pin but the rear needed some persuasion to get the holes lined up. Some ratchet straps and a floor jack helped to get it all aligned. When I assembled the roller skate I left the front PPF nuts where they were when they were powder coated. They ended up moving 1/8" to 3/16" to get everything to line up. Thanks for all your help Montgom!

I ended up cutting the front legs off the rear brace, its just held on with 4 bolts instead of the original 6. I'm not sure if it will help or if I'll notice it but its on now.
I've used my ratchet straps alot since starting this project, especially since most of the time I'm working by myself, they are great to have around.

With as stiff as the Exocet frame is, been wondering if we even need that lower brace...

I don't know if that brace is needed either but I did find this one. It might be a replacement? or and add on? More research is needed.

Well it was cold as balls here today. Seriously, the high was 38 degrees and it was 16 when I woke up. So I didn't get anything done on the car but I finally opened the radiator box to find it was damaged. The passenger side is pushed in about 3/8" so back to Amazon it goes. A new one should be here Tuesday. Yay amazon! Other than that the Mishimoto radiator and fan shroud combo look great.

Did you get the 2 or 3 row radiator?

It is the two row "performance" radiator. The three row "x-line" seems like overkill.

Today I made some more progress. I got the fuel tank cleaned up and mounted and I hung the muffler as well. The muffler hangs off of the back two gas tank bolts. I used 1/2 grade 8 zinc plated bolts with lock washers and threaded rod couplers as the standoffs. Exomotive stainless fuel line kit hooked up but not permanently mounted yet. My wheel spacers came in from Flyin Miata today so I went ahead and mounted the coil overs and wheels just to see how it all looks.

Where did you get your tires and wheels from? I am thinking or ordering the same thing for mine.
