I caved and bought spacers this week too. Sucks, but could suck more. I got 4 Ichibans for $250 shipped.

Are the ichibans the way to go? eBay has a set from a California machine shop. Precision European or something like that for 40 a set. Obviously this is not something I want to go cheap on if that's the case. My tires arrived from tire rack in like 3 days. I wish everything would arrive that quickly.

Ichiban seems like the best brand that made them in the size I wanted. I would have slightly preferred H&R Trak+ DRM's, but I couldn't find them quite big enough.

What size did you get? I'm looking at 25mm

If you want 25's you can get H&R's or Ichibans. I got 38mm's. Bigger than I'd like but so be it.

It would be nice to have someone scale them. I just changed my mind last minute and ordered the traklite holeshot 15x8 in black chrome.

FWIW with the tracklites I had to use a 6mm spacer in the back and a 3mm spacer in the front to clear the FM 4 wheel little big brake kit.

I am using stock brakes for now. It's the one area I left stock. I figure with a good set of pads I won't notice the difference. The weight savings would be nice though.

+1 on the freeze plug in the front of the block. I made a plate to hold it in place (hopefully this will be unnecessary) and it cleaned up the front nicely. Water line routes nicely over the top of the pulley.

Water line routes nicely over the top of the pulley. Did you use a new hose or just splice the two? I have a reroute kit all ready to go, just need to order the last bits and trying to figure out if another hose is needed.

Interestingly enough the hub centric part is a separate piece. Makes it more modular, which is nice, and the fit is tight. Also, they're Ichiba, not Ichiban. Not sure why I added the n at the end.

I ran a new line. the OEM doesn't route cleanly. Stig: I'd love to see a picture of the 225's clearance on the rear. I have the holeshots as well-couldn't find the 15x9 -15 offset I wanted for less than $600 a wheel. The Rs-3 is a great tire and a great compromise on the street. I do have doubts the fenders will clear without a spacer though...
