Hi All, just an update to say that I will be collecting my Sonic 7 from MEV next week.Starting to panic now as not all parts from donor have been removed and engine just needs to be cleaned! She who must be obeyed has a very long to do list, but I seem to have mislaid it, it may turn up in a couple of months!! No doubt I will be in contact for some help as this is my first kit

Hi, Congrats! Both an exciting yet daunting time isn't it? Should be picking up a sonic kit myself next week too all being well, which will also be winging it's way back to wales. Thankfully this one is for my brother to build, and he has already stripped his donor and bought most of the required extra parts. I'm still in the process of stripping mine but hopeing to get it finished and shell taken away next weekend. Both of us haven't built a kit car before so will be an interesting learning experience. ;D

Hi Welshmarks7. Yes, as my bro says next week is SC (Sonic collection) day for us too. Looking forward to the 500mile round trip to collect it, looking forward even more to getting it in my garage and making a start ;D. The kids have already starting making bets as to how long I can stay in the garage until I have to emerge for food ;D ;D. Anyway, have fun and enjoy your build.

Hi Fizzy and Jono, good to see that sonics have a growing number in South Wales, I'm in Llanbradach just outside of Caerphilly, are you guys far from Carmarthen. Are you both building sonics? Hope I can get time to feel the pangs of hunger from the hours thinking which angle is best to take the build photos!!
cheers guys Mark.

The original plan was to build two sonics at the same time, but after re-evaluating resources, time, storage facilties etc decided to do one after the other. Jono is the more experienced mechanic so it also gives me the chance to see if I will be up to building my own... ;D Besides, if we work 24/7 taking shifts should get it done in no time.... I'm actually from Bridgend area, but will most likely be using my parents garage near Carmarthen for mine all being well.

Thats a hat trick this week for Sonics. Glad your all happy with your kits. Hub swop will take place in a corner of Wales very soon I hear. Wales is a popular Sonic location isn't it. Trust you will all have them built in time for the AMM next week! Regards Stiggy
