I'm really stumped on how to wire the flasher switch. Just like the fog switch, there is +, -, C, NO and NC. This is the 2000 miata flasher diagram. Wiring the + and NO will light the switch up when pressed. ...but what the heck do i do with the rest? Is this switch not going to work for me?

Brain stormed a bunch of ideas yesterday for setting this up and all of them involved adding relays. Decided to hunt down another stock flasher switch instead. Will be 20x easier to wire in plus it will illuminate with the parking lights unlike the switch I have now.

My only thought is to rewire for the NA flasher unit, on that one the hazard switch just provides a ground to operate the 4-ways.

Huh, that's a first. The hardware may have just been mixed up from the sound of it, but we'll check it out!
Glad to see you were still able to make it work, the build is looking great!

Glad to see you were still able to make it work, the build is looking great! i could have gone out and got smaller bolts too but something under the kinds of forces the wing will see seemed necessary to have the larger hardware.

Battery installed. Nothing all that different than what everyone else does except I added a large ground strap to attach the frame to the negative terminal. Rubber colored covers for the terminals. Idea stollen from Steadfast. Tray mounts to the panel using riv-nuts and stainless screws. Goal tomorrow is to put the passenger seat back in along with the seat belts and side panels. This weekend the focus is going to switch to the DD miata as it needs new brakes, soft top and thermostat. Probably change the oil too.

Jeeprers, Greg ... I cannot say "thank you" enough for all the wiring pics that you are posting. This is REALLY going to help me out when I get to that point in my build! Sort of thinking I need to send beer your way as 'payment'!

I would add a second ground strap to the rear of the PPF same as OEM setup. It insures a good ground to the starter and alternator..You could just drill and tap a new hole/spot on top of PPF for it..

That's still there. All I did was cut 2' of cable off between that spot and the stock battery terminal. That ground bolt is also coated in dielectric grease.

OK so you cut 2' off from PPF ground bolt aft to and including the cable neg. clamp end and ground lug about 8" fwd. from neg terminal.. Question is if there is a ground cable running from the battery neg. to the PPF unit now..

Yes there is. The segment that had the stock Neg terminal and body ground has been cut off. The next part of that cable is the PPF attachment. Now it goes from the new negative terminal to the PPF. The braided clamp you see is from the battery directly to the chassis. I'll snap a pic later. Easier to show than to explain.
