When do you think you'll be on the road ? Well, this list of jobs to do: Seats need assembling and fitting Air inlet needs welding and fitting Electrics Water pipework for engine and chargecooler Rear bulk head needs re-fitting as not happy with it Fit heat shielding to rear bulk head Fit new supercharger and oil pipework Couple of other finishing touches - trim etc That should pretty much finish the car as a build. It then needs 6 hours running-in time on the rolling road and then mapping/power runs to set the engine up. Car then needs making ready for IVA, so engine cover, wing mirrors, front lights, sort all radius edges etc Writing it down now seems alot more than I thought !! Aim is to have it IVA'd and on the road end of the spring - fingers crossed

Hi Mate
If you consider what yo have done up to now it is safe to say you are on the home straight. Look forward to seeing it at one of the shows.

Sounds like a lot but sure you'll get it done by spring.
What's the power output of your lump estimated at ?

What's the power output of your lump estimated at ? The last engine (and only one I am aware off) done to this spec produced 310 Bhp and 270 ftlb of torque. I think that is a bit of pub talk personally, but i will be happy with anything over 250 BHP and 210 ftlb torque. A bit more head work in the future will produce another 40 BHP if needed, or a bigger supercharger !! The engines limit with strength is now the crank which can withstand 500 BHP !! - so I am told !

Got what I wanted to get done this week end. Carbon fibre seats now fully fettled, trimmed and bonded. Need a good polish after they have set fully: The chrome effect paint on the back was a real nightmare to get due to the 'B' surface finish of the carbon fibre, but the sprayer did a Sterling job - very pleased. These are 100% pre-preg carbon fibre. Pre- paint and trim the seats weighed in at 2.3 kg each, now weighting 2.8 kg each. Have mocked-up seat frames to be made this week.

Hi Jon, These look excellent they will really compliment your already impressive build ;D They look a little bit like mine although mine are only carbon fibre at the top section. They are very comfortable and hold you nice and tight. Great work as always Regards Jim

Seats look good Mr Mabbs, very light, strong.... What do you recomend for polishing? For polishing I generally just T-cut and then use a black based wax, brings carbon fibre up well. Other than that if there are some deeper marks then 1500 W+D then polishing compound. Jon

excellent news. heading up there on Sunday and really fancy seeing this in the flesh. looks incredible! Many thanks. You will have to excuse the inlet pipework as I did not get it completely finished. Just needs bracket work so held with cable ties at the moment - not the best scenario but it looked OK. Will be going tomorrow to have a look around. Jon

Small update. Currently on with the electrics. Using the Dash2, which will be getting oil pressure, oil Temp, fuel level and speed from their hall effect sensor direct to the dash and an interface cable between that and an Omex 600. Will be using Omex race spec harness and monitoring/using map sensor for plenum pressure, air temp sensor (for plenum inlet) and water temp sensor. Will be using the dash4 pro and a data logger after IVA. Lights ignition etc I have to confess I am having help with, as electrics do little for my amusement Hopefully the electrics should be getting close to being finished end of next week. I have some more fettling to do with pipework/brackets, then it will be off to be run-in, mapped and power runs for maximum performance ;D

Hi Ollie, Thanks for the comments. I am keeping the Dash2 and adding the Dash4 later so sorry will not be for sale. Andy Charmers on here distributes for Race Technology so worth giving him a shout if thats the route you want to take. Had a good look around your car also - looks very nice with some very nice parts fitted. The Stack steering wheel/dash is very nice, if it was mine I would defiantly keep it and mock something up for IVA. Love the swirl pot and hoses also. Would be nice to see some pics of your car on here if you have any. Your Zorst looks very nice Jon
