Thanks to a brilliant time at Llandow racetrack recently, and a good ol' chat with Mattsmev and Nigel (thanks guys ;D ;D ;D), my bro I and I have gone and got ourselves a couple of donor cars, stripped one and about to "do" the other, and have just put an order in for Sonic number one (number two to follow shortly) so I thought I'd say hi, and let the fun commence. Can't wait.

Well, stripping has commenced on donor no 2 - it's like a large reverse jigsaw puzzle. (well, I hope I don't have to put it back together!). Once complete, it will be a case of sifting through all the bits to get what's needed, what may be usefull, what's worth a bit and can be sold on, and what needs chucking... ...even got myself a little runabout to help - a ford escort van. Quick question (not sure which section to post this under) - which steering wheel boss to you guys use? The ones I've found so far for the focus aren't compatible "with air bag models", yet obviously there will be no airbag installed anyway.... Next year llandow is going to be heaving with Sonics - I hear there are few kits down south wales area already.... ;D

hi Fizzy
I used a collapsable boss, it was OMP and it kept the IVA man happy. I got it from rallynuts in cornwall for about £50. The part number was OD/1960FO54.
Hope that helps
Cheers

Hi Everyone. New to the forum. Started a sonic 7 build for a charity in London last summer. Hope to complete it this year.
