At last have booked my first track day, with a mate have booked with Javelin for the 30th of June on Bedfords gt circuit.

Hi there Simon have done a couple there, its only just down the road for me so might look at coming along nice smooth tarmac wide and about a 4 mile circuit

hi will be good to see the rockets driven in anger!! will be good to see pauls car at speed seen it at plenty of show lol. My 3rd visit to Bedford and cant wait. last time used loads of petrol good job they have pumps there a bit pricey and only premium fuel but when your empty doesn't matter lol see you all there nice and early hope for good weather

Well...what a fantastic day at Bedford with Simon and Bob ! After the weekends rain we couldn't have asked for a better weather with 20 oC sunshine. I managed 209 miles and 58 litres of fuel (16.4 MPG) on track. Car ran really well (new Aeromotive fuel pump is  ) , but I did manage to get a a warning for being very close to drive by noise limits  Bedford GT is the longest circuit I have been on at about 4 miles long, making the 3 sighting laps 12 miles alone! Took a good few laps to learn the circuit due to the length, but it's great, really enjoyed stringing everything together for a good lap. The main straight was around 120 mph, and the shorter straights around 100 mph. Good mix of fast 4th gear corners and slow 2nd gear hairpins. Width was good with plenty of room for overtakes on the left. Really good drivers today with no problems that I saw and everyone seemed to be polite in moving over. haha better post a couple of mine getting a bit of lean when on the limit perhaps suspension a little soft but hey still had a smile cornering flat at 85 mph waiting for the tyres to say no !! hehe see you all at Curborough for more fun
