ok so a quick update we have been driving the car for a while now in between the constant rain and gale force winds. so with freshp5 getting in some seat time and me working it brought up the issue of handling so a rainy good Friday sent freshp5 to have the 4 wheel alignment checked and adjusted this was the result hoping the rain stops long enough to see if the trip to the alignment specialists has worked but freshp5 seems to think it has although by the time he got back to mine he did look like a drowned rat in a crash helmet

Ok having a run out to evesham today so hopped on m6 toll and built up speed the car is handling like a champ well planted on the road but it has bought up another issue of a slight clutch slip so that will need to be sorted before Scotland trip for freshp5

I think the clutch was adjusted ok but we never split the engine from the gearbox on initial build .the clutch swap is a quick swap so the MeV will not be sitting long . And now I have given it a proper test drive I could drive it all day

so our run out I managed to video a bit
as we left the toll booth I did slip a gear but we had come to the conclusion the clutch had to be investigated so engine out I thought this approach would be easier as I didn't think the gearbox would not come off the ppf frame and it only took a couple of hours and a bit of help from my son and brother (freshp5) now the clutch was worn and the pressure plate was scored and pitted so by next week we should be fitting a new clutch kit from mx5 parts taking advantage of there bank holiday discount

So replaced slave re bleed system and adjusted pedal after finding a vid on you tube . Dave was panicking as Tuesday was his London trip to show workmates and you Darren lol
