Its been along time since I updated and have made good progress. The engine is in and running nicely, all the electric's have been tested and work ok. Minor issue with the coolant fan not cutting in but think this will be relatively easy to resolve.
Tunnel almost completed, just need to buy gaiters for the gear lever and handbrake, once everything has been double checked it can go back on the trestles, suspension removed to have the body fitted. Cant believe the attention it has had from the guys who live around me! My 1st December deadline looks tight but achievable. I will try and put some pics up soon

Well I didn't keep the build diary up to date as much as I would have liked to but I dropped the Sonic off at RTR this morning for its IVA.

Think you need to trim the ".html" from your src reference. That's what I've done in the quote above. Pic looks great,

Harminder, this is the Scuttle before its cut to fit, it doesn't quite reach the cross member Once you have fitted the side panels you will have the correct height to cut the scuttle. I don't seem to have a picture of the cuts in the side of the scuttle to make it fit. You can see from this picture that the scuttle just sits on the cross member, by about 10-15mm as you can see below there is not a lot of room to put the ECU here and it has to be fitted at an angle to make sure it does not foul the body, Another pic of the ECU fitting This is a picture of the scuttle before its cut to fit the main cross member, you can see it sits too high and not far enough forward I didn't drop the steering column or the pedal box, once tightened the box was hard up against the mounting. as you can see here If there is anything else you want to ask please do.

Dave is that the standard tank? Is the sonic tank different to the rocket one?

Yes standard tank from RTR but I think it is different to the Rocket, I think it is more rectangular (but I could be talking rubbish!!)
