Joe is driving very well in his ram air Exocet. My guess is that the total lack of bonnet will not help it slip through the air but the Radical cannot leave him even after the long fast straights he is back on his tail on the bends.

Thanks for linking up Stuart Joe got skills... and the Radical driver? time to sell the Radical.. Id be quite upset, yet respectful to the Exocet back in the pits... I had a good chat with the owner afterwards and he had as much fun as me. The Radical was the quicker car and he had 30+ days experience at Spa, it was nice to follow his wet line. Re, him selling it. Everyone other than one Porsche which came with an Arctic lorry in support would have to sell their cars if that was the case. I have footage of many overtakes of cars which on paper should have left me standing. The chassis on the Exocet is proving very capable and I think the more I drive it at high profile events such as this, the more respect it will get as a Caterham challenger (destroyer imo). My last kit car was a 7 style variant with turbo cosworth running gear and that was no where near as compliant as the Exo.

My last car was a Robin Hood, with a mildly tuned zetec turbo, CBR bodies, tubular manifold and custom plenumn. It was ahem, tail happy and not predictable. It used a monocoque tub design, and made of stainless. I didn't go higher than the 240hp as the chassis was a terrible design from the late 80's. Regards to chassis, I'm running 260 ish now, and 450 bhp due next summer. I don't have any doubts ATM of the chassis not taking it. My power curve is nice an linear, and I don't suffer much, if any lag. Just buckets of torque. Hopefully I'll see you at a few track days next year then

I have just checked the Radical cost, err, Exocet is excellent value, even if I say so myself>
