Nope. They're not used on the Miata, not really sure why they're in fashion for Exocet builds. I used long bolts, washers, and nuts to mount it all up on XP-3. So I'm mounting the gas tank and the bottom of the tank hits the rear subframe. I'm guessing this is why people use the spacers? And warren, to your point, that is okay that the tank rests on the rear subframe?

Well its been a good day. A few things to add. First I had to extend the fuel pump wires. Soldered and shrink wrapped. Then wrapped in wireloom (notice the custom soldering station lol)
I also decided to use a braided gas line that I ordered from FlyinMiata. I wanted to do this for extra added protection. It also came with a cool cleanable fuel filter.
I also used the old line for something that would move the new braided line up into the tunnel a little more (again for protection). I also have clips on order that will connect the two together for more stability.

Well I decided to clean up the rats nest of wire. Now that it is running I was able to cut wires, then start it and make sure there were no issues. This is a good thing because I messed up the gauge cluster lights but was able to fix them (cut a ground wire). With that being said I was out of electrical tape, so I went to the store. Four should keep me in business for a long time: And now the transformation:
I do have one question. What are these brackets for?

Looking good! That bracket is there for your Aerocatch latches/hood pins/dzus fasteners for the hood.

If the bolt is aiming down, it would go in this order: Bolt head Washer Fuel Tank (grommet/hole) Washer Nut (tightened) -bolt threads- Nut Washer Exocet frame (fuel tank mount hole) Washer Nut Leave at least 2 exposed threads (good rule for every fastener).

Very helpfull, I already bought those rubber mounts that everyone uses. I like this idea better.

Well I spent a solid 8 hours working today. First on the docket today was to install the new braided brake/clutch lines. Great kit that included everything! I got it all installed except I stripped one fitting which prevented me from test driving it today. I'm really happy with the way they turned out. I was also able to move the line up into the tunnel. I routed it up on the top part of the PPF. This gives me piece of mind. Next was to install the new battery behind the passenger seat. It worked out pretty good and I'm happy with the way it turned out. Let me also point out that I installed the caps the wrong way. I'm color blind and thought they were both black. Will fix this soon. For the time being I'm keeping the evap crap, while I feel confident that it won't matter for my SB100 process (special process for registering the car in California), I didn't want to take any chances. Once registered, I will remove it during the turbo process. I made a couple brackets to keep it somewhat tidy. Next was to install the exhaust. In my mind I pictured this being difficult. Let me be one of the first (if not the first) to say what a great product. Enthuza Car did a fantastic job. It was literally an OEM fitment for the Exocet. The quality is fantastic as is the sound. I plan to take better pictures/videos once out in the day light. Last but not least, I need to install the seats and harnesses. This was a rather simple task, but time consuming. I bolted them straight to the floor. I followed the following plans that Exomotive recommended: I used 1/4 inch steel for the brackets, and drilling holes created a huge mess: Here is the end result: They are very rigid and really make it feel like a real track toy! I can't believe that this one tiny part is preventing me from driving the car. The worst part is I ordered it and UPS delivered it on time, but I wasn't home. This means they won't be back until Monday

Nicework..A thread file should dress up the brake valve threads..like your battery box simple is good.. You are missing a clamp on the evap box on gas tank.. Next time you have pkg. coming with UPS or FedEx leave note on door saying to leave it..if you have the tracking number add that to note and sign it.. Seats look good..

Good looking on the clamp missing on the evap box, and great tip on the UPS shipments. I did notice two things last night. 1)I need new brakes, which means I might as well replace the rotors. I plan to do those tonight and perhaps have this thing driving this week. 2) Getting in and out of this things isn't easy. The steering wheel always seems to be in the way. I just purchased a new NRG quick release kit that should give me a little more room for getting in and out. I am so close I can taste it. Once up and running and all the kinks are sorted, I will only need the new body work from Exomotive.

Rig up something to lock the wheel to the car when parked..Small cable and combo lock to side rail.. Might come out and find wheel gone.. Spray the rotor down with brake clean before mounting.. don't get any on the paint it will eat it off..

What model / width seat did you elect to go with from Corbeau? Went with FX1 pros. I had to shoe horn them in but they fit like a glove.
