Hi,
Thanks, so seems to be a quality control issue then. I'm going to have to have this on and off a few times when setting the wheel alignment I suspect, that is going to be a pain.

That's the usual problem for the RTR built Rockets, as usual many complaints but no action on their part.
If you have the "infinitely variable" adjusters it makes it easier, I found leaving the bottom wishbone adjuster out completely and making all the other joints first together worked very well.
It looks like you don't have those so instead leave the bottom rearmost joint until last then align with a sturdy screwdriver or bar through the joint from the opposite side to where you are pushing the bolt.
I have seen long bars twisting the whole suspension used but actually a smaller lever (screwdriver) in the right place works a treat.

Depends on the length of the horns/trumpets you are using. I started off with 50mm ones and a pipercross filter. ....... ........ I then went up to 90mm long as this is supposed to give better torque Did you change to the longer ones after trialing the shorter ones? If so how did the drives compare?

Supposidly the longer trumpets hive better low down torque. I must admit I didn't feel any difference but I had a standard 2.0 zetc. It does give a better noise though.

Unfortunately not, a recent house extension has taken up my kit building time. However that is just about finished so now it is the last push to get the kit done. I had to go back a couple of steps to make some changes in the wiring. One of the downsides to buying a part built kit and then going in your own direction!
What stage are you at?

I've done the same as you and bought a part built kit. I'm not far from Cambridge as well. I need to get some rust sorted on the powdercoat whilst I get the engine together
