Well I kept looking at the new roof and eventually I realised that the double bubble was a great feature but I accentuated the "large chested lady lying down in the road effect" too far. I also struggle to get out so today was decision time, eventually I found the courage and hit it with the angle grinder!! The boobies are now far more subtle but still follow the surface language used on the rear cover. I have also cut out for 2 hinge sections of the roof to allow easy access/egress. It is now being laminated ready for a trial fit. I will have the new version on the car at Newark in less than 6 weeks.

This thread needs more pics. Show me the boobies! Just an other teaser right LOL!! A hinged roof or wing doors could have been a great option.

Sorry Eric, here at MEV we do not use silicone implants! The new version of the roof fits very well, both stylistically and dimensionally but I cannot show pictures in it's rough form. I can get in and out now without Julie having to drag me out by the arm! Taking it to the Newark show on the 15th/16th June.

Another Q - do you think this would work as a T-top (with those two sections removable?) - I think you could have the best of both worlds with that and the something to roll down the sides Thinking hinges like these:

Lift off hinges, perfect, a small light weight frame to support and hold the shape of the polycarbonate sheet and a couple of hook on type lift off hinges on the tops.

We have now made soft sides for the roof. These can be rolled up and stored behind the seats with the lift off roof panels. They are stud fix from outside and velcro fix once your inside. Made from quality thick black hood material with PVC windows. They will be on our demo car at the Donington kit car show on the 24th/25th August, come and say hi.

Ace! I can't get to the show (didn't check dates before booking a holiday... schoolboy error) but I'm going to be giving you a bell tomorrow anyway to order my kit

Now thats pretty cool.
Full gullwing doors would be my preference. And a coupe/hatch rear.

Roll up sides now sorted. They fasten with press studs from outside and if you are inside they fasten with wide velcro.
