Hi all, haven't put this in the rocket section as im sure many other builders could help out: Myself and Paul Madeye are in the process of doing our brakes, we have everything sorted except for the banjo fittings to connect m/c's to reservoir, We are looking for which we believe is correct size :7/16 push fit banjo's, currently can only find ap brand at about 30 quid each! ouch! Can anyone please help or give any ideas to an alternative? pics are most welcome too, i currently have some fittings which apparently are not IVA friendly, pic below. Is there any way i can use my current fittings but maybe buy a 90degree fitting which will connect to m/c and then put my current push fit into the 90degree fitting? please help! Cheers, wayne.

I bought mine from Ebay, cost was about £5 each. CBS and Europa also sell them, or at least they did.

Hi Wayne
I also got mine from e-bay. I think I was £24 for the three of them. That was for the Banjo Fitting, Banjo Bolt & Washers.

Hi Wayne, I doubt mine cost 30 quid each as they were supplied by RTR The ones in your pic seem vertical rather than horizontal and it looks like the hose might rise above the bottom of the tank, this could lead to an air pocket.

Yeah this is another reason why i want to change them, to me the brakes are probably the most important part of the car. Ive had no luck on ebay anyway, think i'll try RTR then just to get an idea. thanks guys, please if anyone else can point myself and madeye in the right direction it is much appreciated. Everyone uses these parts so someone out there must know! lol. Wayne.

were after 7/16 banjos (M11 will do it if need be), with 8mm tails to push fit hose, believe me i have looked.. im waiting to see what threads are on the tails of some to then screw an 8mm push fit to. any links to where you guys got yours would be greatly appreciated. i would prefer 45deg if possible. we can run fluids and start the bleed then

Believe me M11 wont fit, the pitch would be 1.5mm whereas 7/16" UNF is 20TPI (1.27mm) they would lock up in a couple of turns. From RTR to me "The inlets of the master cylinders are 7/16 UNF and you should have 3 x banjo fittings to fix the low pressure lines to and 3 x 7/16 UNF bolts for these banjos." Don't know the price on these but at least they are there www.apracing.com/product_details/race_car/actuation_products/hydraulic_fittings/banjo's/push_on_banjo_kit-7/16_unf_thread.aspx

I never checked the ID of my banjos but they were pretty loose on the bolts, I reckon 12mm would have been about right.
