Hey guys and girls, i'm interested in building an MEV Rocket but have one concern! How big are they inside. I am 6ft 3in and a big lad and am a little worried if I will fit in it ok. Also can you mount the drivers seat on runners to allow my gf to drive it if I am feeling brave. She is only 5ft 3in!
Cheers
Paul!

Hi Paul,
Welcome to the site,
Stuart Mills (Stiggy), will be able to answer that Question for you, but yes most people mont them on runners to give good adjustment,
where are you located, maybe someone is building near you for you to go and have a trial fit ?? Or at a Show,, Stoneleigh is May 2-3rd,,,,

I'm located in Odiham, near Basingstoke. Unfortunately I am away for the Stoneleigh Show. If anybody has a Rocket built or part built locally that would be ideal. Cheers.

Hi Paul, you will fit in the Rocket nicely. We even have 2 options for seat width. My auto electrician is 6'4" and he loves mine. We also moved the roll bar back on later models to provide more room. Please come along to the Detling kit car show at Easter and say hi to "TEAM MEV" Regards Stiggy

Hi Paul,
I'll second Stiggy on that, I have a Rocket and being 6'3" have no problem fitting in! One condition of me buying the kit was that the mrs could drive it (she's 5'6") - so sliding seats are possible and a must!

At least I know I can fit in a rocket now! If my GF can't get the seats far enough forward then thats tough! Her driving is very much based on the binary theory anyway! On or Off so no doubt it would end up in a hedge row at some point!

If my GF can't get the seats far enough forward then thats tough! Hmm I tried that one.... i wanted to fix the seats into position (i.e. the wrong position for the GF!) BIG mistake! I soon went back on the idea! Ol

Both Mrs mattsmev and I are little over 5'3" and have no trouble with a sliding seat. It also helps push the weight distribution forwards!
