Hi all, have been making good progress and am at the exciting stage of connecting the battery and seeing if I can get the engine to run. All seems to work correctly,on turning the ignition on, Main relay becomes energized, fuel pump kicks in for a couple of seconds to pressurize the system, but sadly on the last stage of the ignition switch it will not turn over. On investigation the starter relay has high current supply to it, and the ignition key is providing +12v to the switch side of the relay but the black/red to the other switch side of the relay which comes from the ecu (pin 32) does not seem to be doing its bit(I asume this would need to go to earth) to then switch on the relay to energize the starter solenoid. Any ideas on why the reguired connection from pin 32 is not happening. I have checked the immobilizer is connected as per mevs instructions. I am using their loom and control panel? Any help would be much appreciated. Jonathan.

Sorry, You were bang on Mark, I feel a bit of a dumb arse, On looking at my emobiliser plug drawing again from mev it shows pin2 seemingly not used, but on looking at another of their lists of connections I found that pin 2 goes to Chassis/earth, this I had not done. Starter is now live. What a great feeling, just need to pop some oil and water in the engine and see if she will run, not allowed to start it though untill certain family members are present for the big occasion. Thanks for your reply Mark. Jonathan.

Started first time and ran sweet as a nut, very pleased, only slight downer is that I think I made slightly too good a job of the exhaust, sounds about the same volume as when the engine was in the Focus, will be excellent for getting through IVA but will be removing part of the internals after for sure. Thanks again for all the help from everyone on the wiring, which was a great help in getting her running. Jonathan.
