Congratulations!
Perfect planning. Some weeks left for tweaks and fine tunes. And with the better weather the driving fun starts.

Yes, congratulations are indeed in order.
Only minor tweaks were needed to Paul's excellent handiwork to get the pass this morning.
The VOSA tester commented several times on how nice the build was and couldn't find anything to complain about that wasn't instantly fixed with a cable tie or two and a turn of a spanner.
I will mention the spannering part purely because it's something that nearly everyone forgets to check (ourselves included today in fact) and that is to tighten up the locknuts on the mastercylinder pushrods.
Very minor, but worth mentioning nonetheless.
Once again, a fine example of a tR1ke build completed quickly and extremely nicely.

Congratulations Paul, looking forward to seeing it at the shows if you come.
Did you get your insurance sorted for a better price than £220, it still seems a bit much to me.

Well done Paul,
There's not many things that beat the first drive in something you built yourself.
Be careful though with the salt on the road, lets hope the weather improves soon.
Cheers Kevin

I'm seeing Sun Sun Sun for this weekend. I am hoping to get out on Saturday for at least an hour or two to get a good run, and some footage maybe. Might pop over to Sherburn if anyone fancies meeting up?

It is a bit far, probably take me 3 or 4 hours to get there. Just been out for a drive for an hour or so and had my first breakdown. Think I may have a fuel pressure problem keeps cutting out and won't tick over, then leave it for 10 minutes and its fine for a few more minutes. Any suggestions welcome Cheers Paul

(Looking into my crystal globe)
Your fuel tanks have under pressure? Is the air inlet ok? Fool spark plugs? Mine had similar issues, I think residue of the vaporized old fuel can be a cause. For my tR1ke carburetors cleaning and synchronizing did the job. Perhaps in your case injector cleaning?

Had a great weekend out playing around in the tr1ke. Slight adjustment to four screws on the throttle bodies, as suggested on you tube, seems to have cured the slow running problem. been busy driving everywhere over the weekend, and managed to use 2 tankfulls of petrol. May have to make some wind deflector screens as my helmet starts trying to lift at high speed. Somebody also recommended getting a power commander fitted to make it run a bit smoother. Will also get round to fitting the front (mevabusa style) winglets sometime in the week and taking some photos.

RTR sells them but they are handcut, not milled. Too bad they didn't raise the bar on this accesoirie. Nick made his own but i don't recall big improvements. I have them because the bonnet looks more finished as without them. Haven't been able to test these but it is a similar design like the Ariel Atom
