Today the floor went on partially, then took it straight off again. Decided to open up the 4.4 mm holes to 5mm to give a little wiggle room. Especially when I dress the edges like I have done with the panels.

TPS arrived, good job its only £20 for a 1.8 & 2.0 And the RS....... £80. What a quality idea using RS TB. more bloody unforeseen outlay. At least the 2.0 TB I have for sale has a tips with it.

Good to see you making some progress Paul. Engine colour looks bling. Bob Been busy since the boys came back from the desert, had a lot of crap news of late, so priority change slowed down work. Hope to get focussed a little now.

Feedback on the avatar from Vicki, she is not impressed, it put her right off her cocaine tea. Only taking it for medicimal purposes by the way If you are going to open up those holes to 5mm I would be definately looking for the flange head SS screws.

I'm hoping the special tea is for altitude purposes. Going to offer up a STD dome head to a flange, see the diameter difference. Its only getting put on temp to make the low tunnel. Then back off to mount seat side mounts and complete wiring, then silicone and fit. Then mount fuel system and new custom made lines :-) :-)

Flange heads were around 2mm bigger from memory, details in my diary, worth it I reckon for the floor. Also you seem to be favouring things on the bigger side Hey all the words in my posts are flagging as mispelt, wants to change them to Spanish dictionary.

So, this is normal the first part of a rocket to go on, as it happens, im 16 months in and only just test fitting mine. But its on temporary style. Nose to engine bay single sheet. Reduced my tunnel height from 200mm to 135mm, side by side pics and the initial test piece for over the handbrake. I need a little advice on this one, I want to have the handbrake like this sitting flush and out of the way. I would assume IVA wont like it for some reason. Does anyone know for sure? Stiggy possibly? You have most dealings with them. some more pics later on. Any comments, as always welcome.. Thanks, Paul

started to go firm with the fuel system mounting today. Hit a major snag, I'd had a an-8 welded to the rear lower of the tank as the gravity outlet. With the 90 angle screwed on it stands the tank about 65mm from the bottom of the firewall. then the angular part of the tank is very close to the seat with minimal jiggle room. The tank now needs the rear hole sealing up and a new outlet to come from the RHS bottom corner, and it needs to be a clamp fitting not a -8 as the screw union is too bulky. More time and expense..

dropped off the tank this morning and got it back this afternoon. old outlet removed and blanked, new one in. AN-8 fitting blanked off new position, still nice and low down for when were on vapour on a hill. how it sits now and where the pipe travels under the coolant hoses.

With the outlet being right at the bottom of the tank will you run the risk of sucking up any gunk that is in the fuel that settles at the bottom?
