This is how I originally had them mounted but the eyelets I was using were not marked for strength even though they were high grade stainless.  I then just made these brackets to fit the holes so I can just remove them on completion of the IVA. The face you see is the one that fits to the roll bar approx 100mm wide, the other face (seat side) is 75 mm with holes for the eyebolts. Angle bar is 7 mm thick. IVA man v.happy with the set-up. Bar only cost £10 for 500mm long piece.  . Don't have any pic of them fitted. |

on a plus im hoping to take the chassis to powder this weekend. don't chose polished silver coating. That's a very sensitive coating for scratches. i was told by a coater this coating lasts only 1 season before getting black from scratches... bummer. need to start reading your project asap! good luck! erik |

I haven't seen all the pages yet. Seems like a strange color of TAFKAP?
I myself was reconsidering a bubblegum purple have seen on several recent Ford cars. I thought it could match my seats but that color was too far off wine red I have now.
still looking forward to more pics!

Another milestone today. Im going over to see the chassis with all the welding complete. Hopefully my ideas for the roll bar will look ok not its done,  Im dreading it a little, it seemed a good idea in my head but could look a dog fabricated. Pics to follow when i get home |

Has the jury come to a verdict on the roll bar yet? Looking forward to pics, I think it will be very good.
Come to think of it, it really doesn't matter what the or roll bar looks like, everything will be blurred by speed when you pass by anyway... :-)

I've just been reading the iva manual about the seatbelt situation, it doesn't state you can't pass it round the tube, its a larger radius and safer and acceptable in racing.
Anyone got any more info?
is there an IVA help line?
