Well this is world cup soccer country. I live in Port Elizabeth South Africa and my dream is to own a Sonic 7 hopefully soon. I watch this web almost on a daily basis. I used to own a Lotus 7 (Birkin 7) as they are called here but I sold it to build my new garage (3 garages) at my house. Hopefully I will have saved to place my order soon. I do, however, have to find out from the authorities whether I will be able to register the car in this country. They are so full of sh@t. Good luck to everybody building a car and I will definately have many questions in the near future.

Hey Barry,
Another South African here, Patrick from Joburg. Also hoping to start a sonic build later in the year. I'm curious, why do you think it would be difficult to register it here considering there are quite a few 7's and cobra's running around? Strangely enough when I sold my motorbike the guy getting it road-worthied was quoted R150 with the bike present, and R300 without it. This was even advertised on the notice board!
While I like to keep things legal, it seems like anything is possible here with a couple of crisp blue notes...

Hi Patrick The Cobra's and 7's in RSA are all built by registered car builders who can legally give you a chassis number. I don't thing the MEV comes with a registered chassis number so it's very difficult. If you, however, have have other information and know more about it please let me know. I'll keep you posted of anything I find out. Good luck hey. It'll be go good to have a few MEV's around our roads as well. BARRY
