DONINGTON ROCKET, EXOCET, MX150R

Delighted to see three MEV race cars on the same grid today.
Rob drove the Rogue Motorsport Rocket very well but got held up in traffic by a Cobra that sprayed the track with oil. The oil caused Adam to take a short diversion in his Exocet lightweight and Jonathon to slip and slide in his MX150R. The class win for Jonathon with Rob second and Adam third was a very special moment for TEAM MEV. Adam recorded fastest lap too despite having not driven for 3 years! All 3 cars performed without issue and for me it was a perfect opportunity to witness a very interesting comparison bearing in mind the differing balance/weights/power of the 3 cars.
The fact that they happened to qualify on to the grid next to each other was fantastic.
I did take photos and video and Nigel was there too with his camera so no doubt a video will follow. A great day.
The next event for MEV racing is Brands in 2 weeks, we hope to have 8 MX150R's on the grid on Sat followed on Sunday by James in the lightweight Exocet in the "Time Attack" series.

A mix of the cars on track during both practice and the first race (second race was cancelled due to lack of time ( other races over running )





























I only include this Photo as it was the car (Cobra) that decided to dump oil on the racing line around half the track, while giving the spectators some added excitement, as it caused a number of cars to take to the grass including Adam in the white Exocet. However it kind of spoilt the finish of the race as cars ended-up tiptoeing around on the marbles, off the racing line.

A great day all in all, massive congratulations to Jonathan Blake who won class despite having a huge power to weight disadvantage, and massive congrats to Adam Wilkins for Fastest Lap. I can honestly say I'm proud to be part of such a great team.

Massive thanks to Stuart for providing us with a such a great car too! I can't wait for Time Attack and pasting some M3's with it!
