Hello everyone, so sorry for such a late reply, I was off to scotland on the Sunday night straight from the event so computer time has been limited.
I need to give a massive thanks to loads of people. Management for organising it, essentially a thankless task, but I am grateful for the effort that is put in. To Bob, Mabbs and Paul who trusted me with there excellent rockets, each of them different and all of them an excellent example of the bread. I've now tasted power and it was good. A few laps in a high end rocket and that may have cost me quite a bit of money....
As a family we had a great time. - Both Mrs mattsmev and I had big spins on the bottom corner. Sue's was driver error, but I put a wheel on a patch of diesel that was only there on that lap!, not my fault at all. (I also need to work on my recovery). - Miss mattsmev snuck past the marshal and drove a lap in daddy's car. - I got to drive 4 rockets in one day, and with full respect to Paul and Bob, I was very privileged to drive Mabbs's car. A sticking throttle made that a bit more hairy than it should have been but the car was returned safe and sound, thank you mabbs not just for the drive, but building the ultimate example of the bread - I got lifts in a trike, as did sue and Joy was in loads of cars all day, so thanks to the drivers who took my family out for a spin. - Thanks to Paul for cooking an excellent BBQ in the evening - what a laugh - And the weather was perfect all weekend
so all in all, a perfect track weekend, I am already looking forward to next year.
