Hi all Well, after going to the Newark kit car show to order a kit car from another manufacturer I discovered the tr1ke by MeV and the planned order of the other car was cancelled. Fell in love with tr1ke straight away. So started Planning and will be visiting their office soon. Nice and local to me Anyway, just wondering if anyone had the physical dimensions of the tr1ke as I don't seem to be able to see them on the website. Many thanks in advance Adam

It's a disappointment, but for some reason all of the kit car mfgr's don't give even basic and important info - wheelbase, track, turning circle, tire/wheel size, GVR etc.
MEV, how about pulling ahead of the pack and adding these?
It would also be very nice to have the dimensions of the engine bay for those of us who want to use a different engine and need to know if it will fit.
In my case, I've never been a fan of shreiky 4-cyl engines and wonder if a Triumph triple will fit.
Thanks

Sorry meant to reply with this info sooner ;-) The whole point of the R1 is its part of the name I suppose, I too thought a nice SP1 V Twin would sound mint in it, but its not just the engine, its the swingarm too, and I think RTR will try and work around anything for you, but you would be paying an R&D cost for this. I too was not a big fan of straight 4 engines, my past bikes consist of VFR 400 = V4, VTR Firestorm = V Twin, 2 x SP1 = V Twins, Buell XB12SS = V Twin, you can see the pattern, then for some reason after my MNR failure I bought a Z1000 = straight 4, I hated it, I guess I love the V Twin sound, braking, torque and fun of riding, and worried about an R1, however with the right exhaust, its just mental. I love the noise it gives, much nicer than the Z1000 was, maybe not as bubbly as my V Twins, but a very acceptable roar :-)

If it had the crossplane crank it'd be OK, but they specify R1's only up to a certain year.
