Hi everyone, I just discovered MEV yesterday. I've been thinking a long time about how to build something like the VW concept "car" the GX3. Then yesterday I saw a post on Autoblog about the SDR V-Storm. That got me wondeirng if there were other kit car compaines out there that might make a kit like the GX3. At first I only came across the Rocket and Sonic7 (which I think are awesome), but when I found the MEV site with the tR1ke I fell in love. Of course I have no concept of how much time and effort it would take to complete something like this, but I think it is within the realm of possibility for me (though perhaps I will wait until my wife finishes school). That is what I'm here to find out, if this really is something I want to take on. I also wonder about the feasability of building an electric tR1ke (though the name might need to be different, trikE perhaps?), but that is a separate question. I look forward to conversing with you.

Welcome aboard 'capro' nice to have some interest from over the pond. There are at present 2 Rocket's and 2 Sonic's under construction / built in the US whereas the tR1ke is a relatively new design form MEV. Although the tR1ke is powered via a Yamaha R1 engine, MEV have both extensive experience and knowledge in electric powered vehicles and would probably be more than happy to discuss an alternative propulsion system. I suggest you contact MEV directly or PM 'stiggymills' on the Forum with your ideas. nigel

Hi Capro, we have global plans for the tR1ke and have just taken an order for 2 cars to go to Ghana in Africa, one as a kit and one as a turn key vehicle. We see the States as being a huge potential market for the tR1ke so if you want to be first on board over there then get in touch. There are about 5 orders ahead of you at the moment so book your slot as soon as you can. RTR
