Ordered a MK2 Mondeo gear lever from an online breakers and I was quite surprised when this turned up this afternoon. Definitely the wrong thing but anybody know what it is from ? Be nice to go back to the breakers on Monday with the necessary knowledge to get this sorted out. I think it's from a Ford but that's about as much as I can figure out.

Could be a fiesta. Or any other ford that uses the ib5 box but with Todd and not cables. You need the cable type.

Could it be a MK1 Mondeo ? Agreed itss been a while since ive looked at one though fiesta's have an all plastic casing around the lever base including the mounting lugs at the back (not bolted in)

Managed to call the breakers this morning. Got to pay for a courier to pick the whole assembly up and they have said they will pay for the postage back if I include a receipt.
I bloody hate dealing with breakers. Customer service is just not their thing. How do they manage to make me feel like I'm putting them out by wanting to buy something from them ?

You got the right one yet? Personally, I will only go to a breaker I can drive to (Lucky to have a large breakers within 20 mins). Too many issues like you are currently facing.

Getting one of Jokers when he has some more stock in. damn breakers are a pain. Courier picked it up this morning so they should get it in a couple of days. There used to be loads of breakers near me but there only seems to be one now and they didn't have a suitable Mondeo. Also they aren't like the old school breakers as your not even allowed anywhere near the cars. I used to love going to the breakers with my toolbox and pulling some spare parts off
