An idea popped into my head over the break. ECO-EXO The cheapest kit in the world to build, test, register, tax and fuel. Up to 100 MPG and up to 100 MPH. IVA exempt, 2 seats. 125cc up to 650cc engine options. From £15 per year tax. Electric option with zero tax fee and no congestion charge. Only a provisional licence required for 17 year olds. Thats all for now, top secret, but see one at Stoneleigh. Clue; "burger van"

haha, I like it "an idea popped into my head... so I'm gonna build it" SWEET!!
Sounds very interesting and looking forward to it. Will it be more bike based being a tandem, or car based (ie seating configuration)?

With that size engine it can't be car based so must be a scooter/small bike..... ooooh a two stroke car would be cool... has it even been done b4?
I must say i read with quite a bit of interest the write up in march copy of ckc, i even read it out to my girlfriend, who to be fair has no interest in kitcars lol.
what i like most about this idea is the price! times are hard at the moment no doubt, and this price will mean alot more people can start living the dream, i think the rocket/sonic/atomic are good value but a OTR price of About 2K is amazing
top work Mr Mills :-)

I've got a 660cc single bike engine going spare, and a complete ZXR400.

Burger van, how vague of me. It's an abreviation for Suzuki Burgman. Available in 125-650cc versions, depends if you need speed up to 100mph or economy up to 100mpg. Tax is only £15 per year for the 125cc too. Just started it on Friday, doing some design right now, wheel base will be 2100mm. Track width, I am going for 1650mm, balance looking good. Rear swing arm/CVT unit remains un touched from the donor complete with progressive link suspension. I should be able to create lots of stow space too, both under the seats and above the engine. Will post progress pics in tech section later next week I think. Twist and gone! Stiggy.

Stiggy, any plans for a hydrogen powered vehicle ? It is the future after all :-) I'm sure a man of your talents could simply knock one up ;D

Isn't that the stuff with a wide "detonatability" range and if it does "flame" you can't see it. H scares the hell out of me.

There are currently some vehicles using fuel cells (even some bikes) and there are several petrol stations around london selling hydrogen.
plus if you are going to die in a car crash you may as well go with a boom :-)

I am anxious to see the new brainstorm, but don't have access to the tech section.
I am feeling very left out - thinking that other folks know more than I do about this new idea.
Help!

Hi all, I've been watching this post with interest as this would be a kit car I can afford to build. GBS tried something similar a few years ago, but I must admit I was a bit disapointed with the result. i104.photobucket.com/albums/m171/apjilly/CIMG0524.jpgCome on... !!! MB )
