As some of you will already know, I passed my IVA around 3 weeks ago. At 9am this morning, this is what my car was looking like: Having taken her to the DVLA in Bristol, this is what she now looks like: Interestingly, when I was speaking to the DVLA Inspector, he informed me that all of the checks that he was completing were repeats of what had already been done by the VOSA Inspector and, as the car has recently had a successful IVA test, I didn't really need to have the DVLA inspection!!! Apparently, the only reason I needed to have a test is because the person at the office that processed the paperwork made the decision that it would be required, yet they could equally have decided that a test was not required, especially due to the repetition of the checks made....perhaps it's time that someone in the DVLA made it clear to their people that there is no need to process any further checks on a vehicle that has recently passed an IVA Inspection. Anyway, getting off of my soapbox, I'm just chuffed to nuts to be able to take her out on the road and have some fun!!!

Fantastic - car looks great and it must feel great to be "legal" wrap up warm and enjoy !! Just what I need to get motivated to get out in the garage ! Thanks Jeff. Yes, it feels awesome. Left the crash helmet at home today as we were going cross-country to get home - the noise of the exhaust as she zooms towards 7K revs is amazing (especially as I've been driving diesels for my last 200K+ miles). Helluva cold though - need to swap the thinsulate cut-off gloves for a nice pair of North Face gloves in the new year. Hopefully Father Christmas is bringing me a North Face neck warmer so I will be toasty-warm once I get it all sorted. Come on everyone, get your Exocets finished, it's amazing! ;D ;D

congrats mate - well done , no helmet ....how many flies in your teeth from smiling? ;D ;D ;D Fortunately none - may have been the on-off rain, or just the sheer coldness of the day, but didn't have any on the glasses either.
