Well, i think i'm pretty much sold on this trike. I've been, building, and racing street bikes for the better part of 20 years and fiance really does not want me to get another bike. I usually buy a bike and ride it for a year and then take a year off. I just sold my last two bikes which were a GSXR 750 and a SV650 (commuter) and i really miss the HOV lane on the freeway. I commute 60+ miles a day and the gas prices on my cars are horrendous. All my cars are 80's turbo BMWs and i tend to get mileage in the teens. I bought myself a 524td to make but i hate driving such a big car. I've always loved the T-Rex but could not justify spending $50k on one. When VW announced the moonraker had a 90% chance of going in to production i quickly put away $17k to buy one in full but was heart broken when they pulled the plug. Over the next few months will be selling off my diesel and one of my turbo cars and make the purchase one of these from www.doveracing.net. I figure that should give me plenty of time to learn everything i need to know about these before I ever turn a wrench. Sorry for the run on paragraph.

Yeah the T-Rex is an awesome bit of kit, I took my first spin out in one in Daytona 2007 and was hooked ever since, I started to design my own and started fabrication, but due to an awful tragedy with a friend I ended up taking on his KitCar to build, whilst building it I visited the UK Newark Kit car show and spoke to MEV and expressed I liked the different styling of the cars they produced, and had I not been building a car now, I would have defo gone for one of there's, but my real passion was Reverse Trikes. The lady explained that they were on with designing a reverse trike, 4 months later, it was looking pretty much like what I had started to build. One thing led to another and one mighty disaster on the rolling road saw the end of my Kit car. I never thought I would recover from losing all my money, but 2 years later and I am near completion of my TR1KE. The test drive sold it for me, this machine is like nothing else you have driven. Yeah sure I have had some rather silly high performance bikes, SP1, Buell, Z1000, but nothing hooks up the power like this apart from the T-Rex.
For your investment on the TR1KE, you will be very happy with it. My build has taken just short of 6 month, that's working maybe 12 hrs a week doing bits and bobs on it, you can build it much faster, but you really want to enjoy the build experience too.
Get yourself to the USA dealer for the TR1KE and get a test drive. Make sure you take your cheque book too ;D
Cheers
Nick

If only I could find a full time job in Florida, I would be over there and bring my TR1KE over too :-) However back to real life, The UK will have to do for real life, and the USA will be my holidays, Whereabouts in the US are you?
