If anyone is in the position to measure the gap from top of tyre tread to underside of wing stay, i have bigger wheels so have to modify the length of the stay bars, but i need something to work to please.

Wont bigger wheels throw your spedo out for the iva, My method would be to get a tube the internal diameter of the outer diameter of the stay. Cut the stay slide the tube over then weld it.

No the spedo is 0.01 mph out...checked on the maitia tyre/wheel size calculater site.... the problem i have is that they are very wide so i have to chop a piece in to the stays to swing them inward slightly, at the moment they are about 3mm from the top of the tyre tread which i dont think is right and also touching the tyre wall. What i need is someone with the standard setup to measure the gap between top of tyre to underside of stay, then all i have to do is modify them.

Coming on very well Stevie, I would aim for 15 mm clearance, they do bounce slightly.

My gap between the wing stay and tyre is approximately 12.5 mm (not the easiest thing to measure accurately)

OK.. charge/battery, seatbelts, check engine all get power to cluster pin 2k B/Y from the meter fuse 10A.. charge/battery other wire is pin 1G W/B from alternator..
seat belt other wire is pin 1B LtGreen from timer buzzer
check engine other wire is pin 1C Y/B from PCM/ECU
Have you checked the bulbs, foil run on cluster board. use OHM meter to check each wire from start to gage cluster..
