Greetings! I haven't posted on here much because Kevin has done a much better job than I could ever do documenting a build! Not to mention, our builds have been very similar due to all of the new/rebuilt parts we've used, etc. However, I wanted to post a couple of pictures of the completed car. I've also passed the state inspection here in Ohio. So, it will be street legal in a matter of days once the VIN plate is created and installed. It's been a great experience building the Exocet and it will definitely attract some attention over here! Thanks to all of the builders who have posted on here. I've definitely used some of the information in my build. There is a chance I may sell the car soon due to a new business opportunity on the table. So, if you happen to be in the States and are SERIOUSLY interested, please send me a PM. Finally, I've included some finished (at least for now) pics below. Sorry they aren't a little better, but I haven't had a chance to get some outside. If you want to see more pics, I've done a small build thread here: www.exocars.net/showthread.php?t=7494The rust bucket I started with...

Thanks, Kevin.
The registration process has been surprisingly easy here in Ohio. I'm just waiting on the call to get the VIN plate installed and then it should be smooth sailing.
I'll be storing it for the winter, but I'll be happy to help you out and show it to potential customers in the spring if you happen to get any interest from around here. Just let me know. I'll also let you know if I happen to sell it and/or get you some more info about me being a builder next year if the racing opportunity doesn't work out...
I'm glad to hear the SEMA show went well. Let me know if you have pictures of your booth and/or the video you had playing there. I would be interested in seeing them...

Give us some info on your gauge setup. I see it is a KOSO, but which series and how hard was it to wire up?

I used the RX-1N KOSO gauge. Their gauges are listed for motorcycles, but they work fine with cars. It was pretty easy to install. It definitely helps to have a wiring diagram for the car. I was able to tap into most of the wires right where they plug into the stock gauges. You will also need to somehow install another temperature sensor and the wheel speed sensor. The wheel speed sensor was probably the trickiest part. I was able to mount it on the front left wheel using some of the holes in the brake rotors to mount some screws that contain the magnets.
I was able to wire it in such a way that the turn signals, high beam indicator, check engine, fuel level, etc. all still seem to work correctly and are indicated on the gauge. It's a nice compact package...
I hope that helps.

So the fuel sender works in the same range as the gauge needs? I was looking at their RX-2N. Did you need to use the temp sensor for the oil temp and tie into the OEM water temp sensor or did you use the temp sensor for the water?
That looks like a perfect option and they are surprisingly affordable.

The gauge gives you an option to enter the ohm range for the fuel level. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I found the Miata's range somewhere online. I believe it was 92ohms or something like that and the gauge has a 100ohm option. It's not exactly the same, but close enough for me.
I used the temp sender for the water temperature. I put an adapter into the looped heater hose line. It can also have a 2nd temperature, but I didn't bother with it for now.
It is a pretty afforadable option IMHO. Good luck!

Thanks for answering. I ordered an RX-2N and it should be on its way. Honestly I didn't even know this place existed and I have looked at a bunch of dash suppliers. I may even be getting one of their dashes for my bus/rv conversion.
Your build looks very clean. Congrats.
