Thanks Matt

All depends on what caliper/uprights you are intending to have.
If you use the rally design setup for the front then they also sell grooved and drilled discs or plain ones , I have the grooved/drilled ones on the front with Hispec calipers.
On the rear, again it depends on what setup you have, I have the RTR uprights with focus rear calipers and plain discs (Bog standard focus rear discs)
As for pads, I've gone for EBC green stuff all round, relatively cheap and Reviews say they are good for every day use.
Hope this helps.

If you're interested, I can get hold of MTEC plain, grooved, dimpled, coated or any combination of them. With pads, I've had bad experiences with Greenstuffs, a set lasted all of 3 laps at Elvington a few years ago. If you want cheaper pads, redstuffs are quite good, if you want something decent, go for the Ferodo DS2500s. Let me know if you want any prices

I am using Mintex M1144 pads at the front and rear of mine, take a lap to get hot but after that they are great. lasted all year with no problems and plenty of meat left on them
groved and drilled disks all round too.
Cheers

Here goes again with my tuppence worth. I will probably be shot down in flames by someone with more knowledge than I have in umpteen years in the motor trade and as a vehicle examiner but hey ho I am running a fairly mild standard 1.8 zetec, with Ford m16 calipers front and focus rears, all on solid disc's, braided hoses with willwood master cylinders , greenstuff pads all round and they are totally superb for road use.. Big Al's rocket was running willwood fronts, vented disc's, greenstuff pads focus rears and my little green meanie murdered his car in the braking dept at the IVA test and on the road, so much so that he has now replaced the willwoods for m16s as fitted to most ford escorts, Capri's and cortinas. £40 each from your motor factors 12 quid a disc, haven't been on track with either car but for road use more then enuff..Loads of feel even to the point of chirping the front tyres on demand. Not for everyone obviously and there may be advantages using aftermarket/hispec calipers, but if your on a budget and want the best without spending fortunes on aftermarket brake calipers etc its an option that works....And the greenstuffs are pretty good all rounders, not too bad with the brake dust, even running white wheels. We haven't had any moments yet, and certainly no problems at all with the braking department.. We even have off the shelf handbrake cables the exact length required to do away with the extra long focus jobs...Thats it tuppence worth it was Cheers Scottie.........

Sorry should have added that we both run cortina uprights, not alloy uprights.
