Alot of people have gone very quiet on their build progress on here recently so i was just wondering what stage are people are at with their builds? I'm virtually finshed, just the mud guards to do, oh and that electrical gremlin to sort out which with any luck i might have sorted tomorrow, fingers crossed...... I would post some piccies but my car building skills are somewhat better than my it skills, any advice welcome. So come guys (and girls) lets see some piccies KC

Sounds as though I'm slightly behind you kitcrazy - Mudguards to put on, fuel filler to sort out, swap out the instrument binnacle, fix in the grille mesh and fix that pesky rev counter.... You're both right though, I really ought to update my build thread - my bad...

Pretty well finished except the small issue of the damn thing not starting, tearing my hair out over this one. sspogman, there are a couple of conectors that are close to the heater connectors on the loom whic seem to have nothing to do with the tacho but do effect it, mine didn't work either until squelch kindly contected them for me.
If someone would tell me how to get pitures up here i will post some of my very stationary exocet

That could be really useful, thanks KC - I've tried pretty much everything else that I can think of, including the coilpack and Cam Angle Sensor (or whatever it's called), so all ideas are most welcome....

Kitcrazy - You are an absolute star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I stripped back the insulation tape from a load of the spare wiring loom under the bonnet and found two large-ish blocks labelled up as 'heater / blower' that were able to clip in together.
Having connected them up, I started the engine and WOW - my rev counter now works!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Thanks for the tip, consider yourself exalted!

Currently My rolling chassis is under a blue cover in the driveway and i plan to borrow a trailer to get rid of the bodyshell after a failed attempt to sell it on ebay.

Well thanks for the praise:-) though i do think that Squelch deserves most of it as it was him who discovered this fix on my car.

Fair enough - Squelch has now been Exalted also. Again, thanks to the pair of you - I'd just decided to get an auto-electrician in to take a look, so you've saved me a coupld of quid. I'll have to buy each of you a pint at a meet once we all get road legal!
