Well that's that then, two rockets on consecutive days with IVA passes and no advises. IVA tester couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and went out of his way to help when the fuel pump played up during the test on one of the cars, and my speed sensor became uncooperative during my test. He hadn't tested a rocket until the first of ours but surprised us both on the Friday when he told us he had been on line and has checked out the manufacturers site and some build sites to see how they were put together. Both tests lasted about an hour and a half ish and were easier in my opinion than an mot on an older car would have been. Just make sure when you build the car from day one that you always do all of the jobs to make it IVA proof. We did with both cars and they sailed it. I would rather build more cars and submit them for IVA than do MOTS and repairs on older cars that's for sure. . Having chatted to the tester it was fairly obvious that the stringent testing has been brought about by poor build quality and poor kit manufacturers in the past. He also reckoned that the Rockets were a quality kit!!!!!!(A LARGE PAT ON THE BACK FOR THE GUYS AT RTR) and that they were well thought out.(SIMILAR PATTING FOR STUART MILLS) He also surprised us both by commending us on our standard of build and presentation of the cars, saying it was a one off for him to have two immaculate kit cars to test. Big pat on the back also to my mate Alan Holden who finished his kit in jig time after I got mine. Although he is an experienced motor engineer and Mot tester himself, this was his first complete build. Nice job too!!!! Paper work is all now with our local VRO and they also couldn't have been more helpful. Even gave us photocopies of our IVA pass certificates seeing as they keep the original.(450 quid and you don't even get to keep the original). Both cars should be registered by Monday and all we have to do is pick up our tax discs and paperwork. Next rocket already planned in my head with a lot of different ideas to be put into action. Both of these cars have attracted huge attention everywhere they have been, even on the trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and have probably caused a few accidents by distracting motorists and pedestrians alike !! Don't think it will be around for long before somebody has to have it, already getting phone calls and requests to come see it, LMAO............
