Hi sorry if this subject has already been covered but is is normal to have to pack the square engine mount up by an inch to get the gearbox to clear the chassis and if so does it have implications when it comes to fitting the bodywork ie too high for the engine cover thanks andrew

Lifted mine by about half an inch to provide clearance - and I think it is pretty normal to have to lift it to some degree, but an inch sounds like quite a lot. Top of the inlet pipe is pretty close to the engine cover on mine, so things are tight. I'm keeping an eye on mine at the moment - not done too many road miles yet.

I have just posted a very similar question in the technical section. With my kit came 4 spacers in an envelope marked "gearbox mount spacers" So fitted as picture. I need to reduce them in height by about 5mm to allow for thickness of Vibratech engine mount, but it does leave engine high in the bay.
