Hopefully not but here goes. As a pure virgin to electric transport I'm just learning about motors. I've heard that direct drive motors are used in elec veichles like the e trike and they cost a lot of money. Forgive my ignorance but if this is true what is stopping someone buying a washer with a direct drive motor and using that motor for the electric car? Since found out that there isn't a "real" motor in these appliances but the motor is in the drum.
