I don't think its a case of trying to make you feel bad, I think its a case that Buying any Kit Car is generally based on people wanting something different and the best place to show that off is at any Kit Car event. I think MEV more than other larger groups go out of there way to look after there customers. They are not ungrateful, but maybe miffed that only 2 cars made it to the event over the weekend, I know that last time I attended Newark there were a substantial amount of owners who were there in the cars.
Don't take it personal, You live a long long way away from Newark, but I suspect lots of other owners live much closer, and if you are not wanting to show your car off to other fellow Kit Car owners, fair enough, I just wonder why build a KitCar, and then not turn up to actual events catred solely for KitCars?
Just my opinion of course. ;D

I agree with Venom, but also think that people purchase these kinds of vehicles to have something different and to stand out from the crowd in the first place, so where better to show it off. I see Mev ownership and this forum as a club and I for one can't wait to build mine and be part of it. You seem to want to be a part of the forum so why not show off your work in person, I have a very busy work and social life also, I run my own business and teach, but it's not as if we all said lets have a show tomorrow, there is a lot of notice (same time same place next year).

I intend to be at Newark for the 30th Event next year, even if I have to tow it there :-) I am sure it will be driven there though.
I hope to have mine built this year and back to RTR for its MSVA for that peice of mind.
I won't attend Detling, because for me like PaulTyre, its just too far for me to go. But most of the others will get my TR1KE shown off, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but its defo mine.
Hey Lee, a couple of the dutch builders live near Zandvoort race track, so i'm thinking thats a trip in itself :-)

the shows are a right laugh... those who dont turn up are missing out.
The fact TEAM MEV put so much effort in just makes things better, no other manufacturer puts up a hospitiality room with FREE TEA AND COFFEE, arranges a meal out for everyone AND puts a band together for entertainment!
if i did all that id be fairly perplexed if no one bothered to turn up.
if you dont want to join in and have fun thats fine, stay at home with a pipe and slippers. But i think its bang out of order to accuse TEAM MEV of being ungrateful.
just my opinion as always.
WILL.

I would love to be able to make it to these events and gave been over to stoneleigh once in the rocket. However being in Northern Ireland it's just not feasible. However I do have the rocket at most of the local car shows we have. I would love to get some of you guys over next year to do one of the shows and have a full MeV muggers area.

I remember seeing the invite to Ireland before, I am up for that, not been to Ireland yet, so sounds like a damn good idea :-)
